Played another session today. Logged about 3k hands for another $16k. Now at about $80k for June.

I’ve ran really good in this sample. Makes me realise how relatively small 100k hands is and how crazy it is to draw firm conclusions about winrates from such a sample. Im nowhere near a 7ptbb winner at these stakes i reckon.

Apologies to my loyal reader that I haven’t made a post in a VERY long time. Thanks for all the charming comments urging me to hurry up. I’m aiming to change that trend and to post a lot more often.

Firstly, the important stuff. I crushed the car fund [I played on Party as ARGGGGHHHH]. This is my graph for the car fund hands i’ve played so far:

I am going to buy the A5, but not yet, [i need to get my license smartish]. I’m planning to play >$75k hands next month and try to put in a few more hands before i make such a frivelous purchase, and also the car fund kinda turned into my main site so i’ll prob make a bit more cash first.

Party has become my main site now. I’ve basically stopped playing everywhere else. I think i’ve been running decent over my hands there but i’ve done ok and im enjoying playing there a lot. It’s a good site to play on because there’s a good mix of terrible terrible fish, weak tags and really really good players, so its super profitable but you also get into a lot of really interesting spots. Also, the software is brilliant and the new VIP system seems fairly promising. Hopefully it’ll be my new home for a while.

Im planning to play A LOT of hands in June. I want to play 75-100k, i’ve told my 3 housemates that i’ll give them £250 each if i don’t hit 75k so that should provide some small motivation to play. Im happy 6+ tabling all the time now though, so i should be able to do 500h/hr, but then again I am a lazy bastard so we’ll see what happens.

I’ll prob try to give a lot of updates through the month just to track my progress.

I’ve luckboxed my way to a 1998 Boxster so far. 4 1/2 months to go.

Haven’t been playing a lot of poker recently, I get into these weird stages where i don’t play much because I get ridiculously obsessive about game selection and only sit in the softest games. I think i probably have an edge in most 5/10 games and a lot of 10/20 games on the sites i play on, but I end up not sitting because there isn’t a megafish there. I don’t really know if its a laziness thing or a confidence thing or perhaps that I don’t want to sit in a higher variance game but i’ve decided to pull my finger out and get some hands in over the next few days. Perhaps i should drop down and grind in easier games or maybe learn to play Omaha or something.

Won a trip to Dubai on Ladbrokes, just been sent the itinerary and it looks pretty good, might ask them to book us some other stuff like a helicopter tour and maybe some different restaurants. I can’t wait for it, it’s going to be a good time.

Went to the Milan v. Arsenal game on Tuesday night. It was incredible, the stadium is immense and the game was one of the best i’ve ever been to. Here’s me and my mate at the game

Got a new 30″ screen and desk yesterday, its so much more comfortable. Got one of the old Dell’s from ebay for £550. Best purchase i’ve made in a long time. [I won’t say any more cos I don’t want grief like Joe got for his terrible cringe-worthy mouse post]

I’ve slept for about 2 1/2hrs last night, between 8pm and ~10:30pm, now i’m up, freezing cold, just lost 2 stacks through monkey tilt [in the softest game ive ever played in] after getting oversetted for 200bbs against a Professional Poker Player, waiting for a lift to go to Manchester to watch Arsenal on the coldest day of the year when there’s a decent chance I won’t be able to get home and will have to fork out a fortune to stay in a manc hotel.
